A 4-star design hotel in a former convent, a 5-minute walk from Senne - Zenne and close to Grand Place.
About
The Dominican, Brussels, A Member Of Design Hotels occupies a former convent where the French artist Jacques-Louis David spent his last years. The conversion preserves a distinct atmosphere — church chorals play in the elevators, incense lingers in the corridors, and the décor is thoughtful and contemporary.
The hotel offers a sauna, a Turkish bath, a health club, and a shared lounge. Rooms are soundproofed and air-conditioned, with tea and coffee facilities, mini-bars, and flat-screen TVs. A restaurant and bar serve meals, and breakfast is available in a dining room overlooking a small patio.

8.6Verified guest“The hotel is close to Brussels Central Station, and the entire city centre is within walking distance. Housed in a former convent where Jacques-Louis David spent his last years, it is interestingly decorated — church chorals in the elevators, incense in the corridors, a bit gloomy but full of character. Rooms are decorated beautifully with lovely furniture, a safe, mini-bar, kettle, coffee machine, ironing board, and large TV. The bathroom is spacious with lots of toiletries space, plus bathrobes and slippers. The lobby is beautiful, and breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the patio is good, with a diverse buffet and made-to-order eggs, waffles, and pancakes.”
